Rated 5 out of 5 by from Playing with Pellets This fascinates the kids. We read a book about owls and a kid helping owls with his grandfather. They kids love to try to put the skeleton pieces together. Give your class plenty of time to "play".

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some very small pellets mixed in about 15 of the 100 pellets we ordered were very small. It's difficult when you are handing out pellets to a group of kids and one kid gets a pellet that is 1/3 the size of the others. They always notice that, and these are quite a bit more expensive than the small pellets

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small but worth the price I ordered 28 pellets for a dissection lab for high school seniors. Each pellet came individually-wrapped and most were not completely dried out. Since these are small pellets, most of the contents are ribs, smaller leg pieces, and other detritus. However, only a few pellets were total duds (no skull or large bones) and a few pellets had multiple skull and jaw fragments. If you want to save a few bucks go for the small pellet. As an aside, the bone identification tool that goes along with this lab needs more specificity to be useful for higher-level labs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Owl Pellets Thought I ordered large pellets but what I received is smaller than the small pellets from other suppliers.
