Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everything arrived on time and in good shape. My Kids' Club children (grades 2-5) were so excited to learn about cow's eyes and actually get to find the lens and other parts. I am currently a retired CA teacher teaching in a church Kids' Club, a free outreach program for community kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Happy! I LOVED this product, which is really weird to say for a cow eye. But the cow eye was perfect! Everything was very easy to find and unlike other ones the inside is somewhat gelatinous so when you cut it open it doesn't squirt! The student I used this with loved it. When you open it up, you can even see the lens and remove it. When looking with the light we were also able to identify the pupil which is way cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product All specimens were well preserved, packaged carefully, and in excellent condition when we dissected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Students were fascinated! Once ordered they came within a few days. I teach 5th grade science but since I had extra eyeballs, I also did a demonstrated dissection to 2nd and 3rd graders. All students were fascinated and it was fun to get them engaged in a tangible way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Eye Dissection Carolina has the best specimens for dissections. The cow eye is a fun, quick dissection that always catches student interest. The Perfect Solution is a better, less harsh alternative to formalin preservatives. The cost of this specimen is also great, I am able to purchase one eye per student.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for ocular anatomy and physiology I have been using these eyes for 5 years and my students benefit greatly from dissecting them. The students are able to better understand the physiology of the anatomical parts and the layers of the eye after dissection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product To Show Parts of They Eye Awesome costumer service, they were very helpful and answered all my questions. The product came fast and all of the eyes were in good shape. The students had a blast learning about the different parts of the eye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good even for elementary students I used these to teach my 5th graders the basics of eye structure and function. The only thing that I did not like is that the specimens have so much fat and tissue surrounding them, that it was time consuming to actually get into the eye and see the inner structures. This could be a good thing for upper grades and colleges where they need to more about connective tissue and the structures surrounding the eye

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Individually bagged saves $ I began ordering the cow eyes individually bagged because of a problem we had with the eyes packaged altogether in one bag. If a bag were already opened, the leftover specimens would develop an odor, and they would have to be discarded at the end of each term, regardless of how many remained. Buying them individually bagged prevents this from happening, and therefor saves us money. This also makes the eyes easier to inventory at the end of each term.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product! We have been using Carolina's Perfect Solution Cow eyes exclusively for the past two years for our dissection programs and have never had any issues. The preservative is not very noxious and easy to work with. Our eyes are always delivered to us in a timely manner and the company has great customer service when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect specimens and really engage students during lab! Cow eye dissection is one of my favorite labs because students are very interested in them and learn so much. The beautiful color of the tympanum always amazes me. This item was a good size and worked well to see all of the eye parts. Students were engaged and very interested in learning with these specimens. Thanks Carolina!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Execellent The cow eye is excellent teaching tool to show the structure of the eye and some of the muscles attached to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product to help students understand the eye My class truly enjoyed dissecting and seeing all of the parts that make up the eye. Products were in great condition and shipping right on time. Anyone looking to use this company should.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Missed the point of magnifying with lens. I used to get eyeballs directly from a rendering company for free. I felt going through Carolina would be safer. The main purpose we use them for in 5th grade, is to supplement the Microworlds Kit. The kids take the lens out of the eyeball and put it on a piece of paper to magnify. The lens was round, hard, and pink...nothing like the lens from a fresh eyeball. It was completely useless. If I were just going to dissect for simply learning about the parts of the eye, it is OK, but for our lesson is did not work. It was really disappointing. The packaging was excellent. The eyes were also opaque, cloudy and very unhealthy looking, like they had cataracts. I'm sure the process of preserving is what makes them lose their clarity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tough to dissect The product was fine, but used it with 7th graders, who are only allowed to use dissecting scissors. Some eyes were very hard to open. Would probably use the sheep eye next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cow Eye Dissection Our school is a small private school that runs on a very low budget. This product allowed each student to dissect a cow eye, see the inner workings and gain a better appreciation for the incredible design of the eye. All at a very reasonable cost! I would recommend this product and will use it again in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marvelous Eyes These cow eyes really helped my children understand all the parts of the eye and how they work together. Great dissection! The muscles around the eye are really tough, though, and need to be cut by a really sharp scalpel in order to get to the real parts of the eye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Solution is Great I teach a homeschool science course. I loved the Perfect Solution Cow Eyes. The specimen were preserved well and disposal was easy. The students were able to see all of the features required. I researched other suppliers and found Carolina to be the best value. I will continue to shop Carolina for my courses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I chose the eyes in a pail and received them very soon after purchase. They provide an easy method for showing students how mammalian eyes work and give a teacher the chance to hold a seminar discussion on the ethics of dissections: Are they educationally worthwhile? Did the learning we constructed from our dissection outweigh the cost of the animals' lives? How do science supply companies obtain the eyes? These are questions that really engage students and motivate them to research the issue further and deeper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good purchase The kids really enjoyed this dissection, my only issue was that the lenses were cloudy, so you could not see through them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EYEBALL This item is perfect for just about any age! Came with step by step directions that helped us understand and observe each part of the eye. Our 4 year old liked to play with the extra tissue, and the older girls enjoyed learning more about how their own eye works by having a "super sized" eyeball to investigate. Of course all our friends like to hear about what we do in science at our house. I liked it so much I donated some to our local school. I will be ordering more of these type items!
